Position Purpose
Retain, secure, and grow retail revenues by creating and exploiting
opportunities to market/sell gas, provide detailed project
management and market the company's products and services in all
market sectors: residential, commercial, and industrial. Retain,
expand and attract business within Unitil's service
territories.

Support operations during storm restoration efforts and other
system emergencies including; on-call duties to staff local EOCs,
outage coordination and support for customer service as needed

Consistent with Unitil's mission and strategic objectives, grow
retail revenues by:
Creating and exploiting opportunities to market gas and the
company's products and services in all market sectors: residential,
commercial, and industrial,
Resolving complex customer issues, providing detailed project
management and negotiating contract execution,
Providing customer education, the dissemination of product/industry
information, and market intelligence resulting in higher levels of
customer satisfaction and increased market share in all market
sectors and territories,
Developing sales territories and customer base by providing
detailed information on customer needs and buying behaviors,
competitive field intelligence, potential sales alliances, and the
most effective methods of product delivery resulting in the most
cost-effective use of time and resources thus higher profitability
of product sales.

Attract, retain, and expand business within Unitil's service
territories by:
Contributing to economic development efforts by developing local
Economic Development agency relationships and by assisting with
promotions, trade shows, sponsorships, seminars and other modes of
market and product communication,
Assisting in the delivery of key account management processes that
are customer focused and targeted to create and maintain critical
and delicate customer relationships for maximum benefit to
customers and Unitil,
Coordination and communication of Energy Efficiency programs to all
customer segments: residential, commercial, and industrial.

Provide constant and effective communications to company management
through formal and informal communication processes. Assist in
department strategic planning efforts. Deliver communications to
all external stakeholders that create a common message and singular
voice for Unitil in the various publics it encounters.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Marketing, Engineering or business-related
fields, or equivalent and 3 - 6 years of related experience.
Must be able to demonstrate successful professional experience in
sales, marketing, business development and project management.
Must have advanced negotiation, computer, organizational and
communication skills (oral/written).
