For more information about Draper, visit .Job Description Summary:The Hardware in the Loop Simulation Group is responsible for designing and developing dynamic simulations and infrastructure for rapid assessment, integration, and test of complex systems. Simulation applications range from high-level behavioral simulations to visualize and evaluate system concepts within SysML models to high-fidelity real time simulations and Hardware-in-the-Loop infrastructure to support development, integration, test, and sustainment of systems and software.



The Hardware in the Loop Simulation Group is seeking a team member who can help build and manage Linux based high performance simulation computer systems. A candidate for this position will have experience as a Linux System Administrator, and may be a Red Hat Certified System Administrator. This team member will be part of the engineering team that is developing complex real time simulations of flight computers and avionics components, so the ideal candidate will have an interest and experience in Aerospace & Defense systems. This team member will be responsible for several computer systems, and will maintain plans and schedules for upgrades and deployments. This team member will need to communicate effectively, and coordinate with various engineering teams as well as corporate Information Technology and Information Security stakeholders.Job Description:Duties/Responsibilities
* Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.
* Design computer security strategy and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture.
* Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
* Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.
* Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.
* Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
* Plan, develop, implement and update company's information security strategy.
* Educate and train staff on information system security best practices.
* Help define a security approach for a particular defined problem and independently execute plan.
* Contribute high quality content for technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance.
* Adapt appropriately to changes in program requirements.
* Proactively identify needs and concerns associated with plan execution and communicate them to project leadership.

Education
Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience
* Bachelor's degree requires 3-5 years' experience of working on System Security Engineer or other relevant position.
