Major League Baseball, strategically using its platform to be a
leading source of hope and positivity off the field in the areas of
health, education and recreation. By coupling our year-round,
direct-service programming with our grant-making initiatives and
core partnerships, we utilize a unique model as a 501(c)3 nonprofit

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is primarily responsible for supporting the execution of
the Foundation's educational programming, including but not limited
to its core program, Red Sox Scholars (RSS). You will be
responsible for providing academic coaching and mentorship to all
students in RSS, with a specific emphasis on ensuring engagement
throughout a student's time in RSS. You will support the Programs
Team with the design, coordination, and evaluation of all
educational programming to achieve the expected outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Works as a primary point of contact between the
Red Sox Foundation and Red Sox Scholars, providing consistent
communication, mentorship, guidance, and advocacy to all our
current and alumni Scholars.
Executes programming for Red Sox Scholars program in collaboration
with the Red Sox Foundation Programs Team
Builds relationships with Scholars and their families to ensure
constant and consistent communications via phone, text, zoom and
in-person
Conducts formal quarterly, in-person or virtual check-ins with
Scholars to identify their needs and support their academic,
professional, and social progress
Utilizes Salesforce database to track student success and generate
reports
Manages the scholarship renewal and disbursement process, helping
Red Sox Scholars to review their financial aid packages, maximize
their scholarship and financial aid, and find additional
scholarship opportunities
Builds and maintains relationships with colleges, universities and
vocational programs
Connects Scholars with professional development opportunities to
gain exposure to different career pathways, build their networks,
and apply for internships and jobs
Organizes events for Red Sox Scholar programming throughout the
year
Supports the Foundation Programs Team with all initiatives designed
to increase access and opportunity to educational resources
Supports the Fenway Park Learning Lab with logistics and operations
on tour days
Assists with sponsor activation related to Red Sox Foundation
programming and works collaboratively with colleagues across
departments to activate new strategies for sponsor engagement.
Attends and works events as a representative of the Red Sox
Foundation, as assigned
CHARACTERISITICS / QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
1-2 years of experience working with youth in high school and/or
college
Solid oral and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
Organized and detail oriented
Willing and able to travel throughout the year (current driver's
license strongly preferred)
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and
holidays
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word,
PowerPoint and Excel required
